Work Visa C3 obtaining

The C3 work visa is issued to foreign citizens, intending to conclude an employment agreement in order to work in the territory of Kazakhstan.

Citizens of EAEU and certain CIS countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, are exempted from requiring a C3 visa.

Instead, employers of citizens from these countries arrange for a Temporary Residence Permit (RVP).

Our specialists will help you obtain a RVP. Please see here.-  ссылка на услугу 9.

Company-epmployer acts as the inviting party for the employment in Kazakhstan and is responsible for employee’s entry and timely departure from the country.

The multiple-entry C3 work visa is typically granted for up to three years, with most cases receiving for one year period. This visa can be obtained from the Kazakh consulate in your home country or country of permanent residence.

Alternatively, individuals, who are already in Kazakhstan under certain visa categories such as business visas (B2 and B3), private visas (B10), family reunion visas (C2), changing employers with a C3 work visa, study visas (C9), private visas for ethnic Kazakhs (C10), and in exceptional cases, upon arrival at international airports in Kazakhstan, may also apply for a C3 visa.

The employe should apply for a work visa in the Migration service. The primary document required for visa application is the work permit.

There is an exception for this rule. If you are appointed as the Director or deputy director of a Company with 100% foreign participation, a work permit is not required. Instead, the basis for obtaining the work visa would be a resolution/protocol of the general meeting regarding the appointment of the Director.

For branch/representative office managers of foreign legal entities in Kazakhstan, a work permit is also not required. The basis for obtaining the visa would be the resolution/protocol appointing the manager and a general power of attorney from the parent company.

C3 Visa for Family Members:

During your stay and work in Kazakhstan, your family (spouse, children) may accompany you. In this case, each family member must also obtain a C3 visa as an accompanying person.

To apply for a family member's visa, marriage and birth certificates are required. Family member visas are valid for the duration of your visa. However, having a C3 work visa does not grant accompanying family members the right to work in Kazakhstan officially. If a close relative wishes to work in Kazakhstan, they must apply for a separate work permit.
